Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Greeting and seating guests in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Presenting menus and taking accurate food and beverage orders.
- Liaising with kitchen and bar teams to ensure timely service.
- Serving meals and drinks to guests, ensuring excellent customer service at all times.
- Checking in with guests to ensure satisfaction throughout their meal.
- Clearing tables and resetting for the next service.
- Handling payments, operating tills and processing card transactions as required.
- Adhering to health and safety regulations, including hygiene standards.
- Assisting in the preparation and setup of the dining area before service and maintaining cleanliness throughout the shift.
- Answering guest questions and providing information about the menu, specials, and restaurant facilities.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a front-of-house or customer-facing role, ideally within a restaurant, bistro, hotel, or similar hospitality environment. A friendly, positive, and well-presented individual with excellent communication skills and a passion for customer service will thrive in this role. Strong spoken English is essential, and the ability to work under pressure and as part of a team is key.
