Role Overview
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Solar Electrician to join our dynamic team in Brisbane. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial solar PV systems. The ideal candidate is a licensed electrician with a passion for renewable energy, a strong commitment to safety, and a high standard of workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission, and maintain grid-connected, hybrid, and off-grid solar PV systems in accordance with Australian standards (AS/NZS 5033, AS/NZS 4777).
- Perform site assessments, system design, and layout planning for optimal solar energy production.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in solar panels, inverters, batteries, and associated electrical components.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards, providing excellent customer service throughout the process.
- Complete all necessary project documentation, including compliance certificates, commissioning reports, and safety paperwork.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Unrestricted Queensland Electrical Licence.
- Clean Energy Council (CEC) Accreditation for Grid-Connect Design & Install.
- Proven experience in the installation of residential and/or commercial solar PV systems.
- Valid driver's licence and Working at Heights certification.
- Strong understanding of Australian electrical and solar installation standards.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- CEC Accreditation for Battery Storage Systems.
- Experience with a variety of inverter and battery brands (e.g., Fronius, SMA, Enphase, Tesla Powerwall).
- Certificate IV in Electrical - Instrumentation.
