Head Pastry Chef — Major Sporting Events & Live Events Salary: £52K-£58K | Oxfordshire based

Picture this: the paddock's buzzing, champagne's on ice, and 200 VIP guests are about to sit down for the meal of their year. Every course has led to this moment, and what lands on the table next is entirely down to you.

That's the world our client operates in, and they're looking for a Head Pastry Chef to own it.

We’re working with a powerhouse in premium live events and hospitality, delivering culinary experiences at some of the most prestigious gatherings on the planet, Formula One paddocks, championship golf, and private and corporate events for clients who expect nothing less than extraordinary. Reporting into the Executive Chef, this is a senior, high-visibility role at the heart of their culinary leadership team.

What the job actually looks like Some days you're deep in menu development, designing desserts against a client brief, pushing creativity as far as the budget and the brand will let you. Other days you're on a plane, then on a build site, briefing your team, checking freight has landed, and figuring out how to plate a perfect dessert 200 times in a marquee that didn't exist a week ago. You'll write and cost every sweet element of the menu. You'll lead pastry, but you'll also step up as an event leader across the wider culinary operation, motivating teams that aren't just yours. You'll own budgets and forecasts, manage suppliers, and make split-second calls when logistics inevitably throw you a curveball. And through it all, you'll be the person your team looks to when the pressure's highest.

Who thrives here Someone who's already led as a senior pastry chef in large scale events, catering or premium hospitality and who's hungry for more scale, more travel, and more creative freedom than a static kitchen could ever offer. Someone who's as comfortable with a spreadsheet as they are with a piping bag. Someone who stays calm when a delivery goes missing an hour before service. If you've got international or F1 experience already, even better, but what matters most is that you've built something extraordinary before and you're ready to do it again, bigger.
