Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to manage payroll processing across multiple skilled nursing facilities. This role is responsible for ensuring payroll is completed accurately, on time, and in compliance with all applicable regulations.
You will work closely with HR teams and facility managers while serving as the primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries. This is a high-accuracy, deadline-driven role requiring strong organizational and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Process payroll for multiple skilled nursing facilities simultaneously
- Ensure payroll is completed accurately and on schedule
- Maintain and update employee payroll records across facilities
- Collaborate with HR teams to verify employee data, hours, and pay adjustments
- Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll-related questions and issue resolution
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws
- Support payroll reporting, reconciliation, and audit preparation
- Identify discrepancies and resolve payroll issues efficiently
Requirements
- 2+ years of payroll processing experience
- Experience managing payroll across multiple entities or locations
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with skilled nursing facilities (SNF), assisted living, or healthcare payroll
- Experience with payroll systems (Empeon preferred, but not required)
- Intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUP, basic formulas, data reconciliation)
