Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Business Systems Analyst to bridge the gap between our business objectives and technical implementation. This role is pivotal in driving high-level solutioning sessions for medium to large-scale initiatives within our banking technology sector. You will be responsible for translating complex stakeholder requirements into actionable technical documentation, ensuring alignment between functional needs and non-functional constraints.
Key Responsibilities
- Solution Design: Lead joint application design sessions with architecture, development, and security teams to produce high-level estimates and technical roadmaps.
- Requirements Engineering: Facilitate sessions with diverse stakeholders to extract requirements and transform them into use cases, user stories, and sequence diagrams.
- Backlog Management: Own, refine, and maintain the product and release backlogs, ensuring forecasted delivery timelines are realistic and transparent.
- Stakeholder Alignment: Act as the primary interface between Business and IT, ensuring mutual understanding of performance, reporting, and interface requirements.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to the evolution of engineering practices by providing data-driven suggestions to optimise delivery workflows.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, ideally within a regulated banking environment.
- Proven technical proficiency with API services and Postman for testing and validation.
- Extensive experience working within Agile frameworks and using JIRA/Confluence for documentation and tracking.
- Strong capability in creating technical diagrams (sequence diagrams, flowcharts).

- Subject matter expertise in small business banking products, including lending, cash management, and digital onboarding.
