Role Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic Commercial Finance Manager to join our clients successful team. The successful candidate will be a key business partner, responsible for driving financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to support key business decisions. You will play a crucial role in providing insights that enhance business performance and facilitate long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, collaborating with department heads to ensure accuracy and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models to support strategic initiatives, long-range planning, and the evaluation of new business opportunities.
  • Prepare and present insightful monthly and quarterly financial performance reports to senior management, highlighting key trends, variances, and actionable insights.
  • Act as a strategic business partner to various departments, providing financial guidance and analytical support to drive operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Continuously improve FP&A processes, tools, and methodologies to increase efficiency and the quality of financial analysis.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a senior FP&A, Commercial Finance, or similar analytical role.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and data analysis techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen and a strategic mindset.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is highly desirable.
  • Experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Sector experience ideally with subscription based models, or utilities would be ideal, although not essential.
