Role Overview
We are seeking a diligent and physically fit Warehouse Associate to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient movement of stock, maintaining an organised warehouse environment, and supporting the timely fulfilment of customer orders. This role is essential for maintaining our reputation for reliability and speed in delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Inbound Logistics: Receiving deliveries, checking goods against delivery notes, and reporting any discrepancies or damage.
- Inventory Management: Efficiently storing items in designated areas to optimise space and ensure easy retrieval for picking.
- Order Fulfilment: Picking and packing orders accurately according to pick lists, ensuring items are securely packaged for transit.
- Health and Safety: Adhering to all health and safety regulations, including the correct use of manual handling techniques and keeping the workspace clean and hazard-free.
- Documentation: Updating internal warehouse management systems and maintaining accurate records of stock movements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution centre environment.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy items safely.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and order picking.
- A reliable and punctual approach to work.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Current forklift operator licence (Reach or Counterbalance).
- Familiarity with handheld barcode scanners and warehouse management software (WMS).
