Role Overview

We’re hiring a Head of Traffic to own content production flow and Instagram execution for a portfolio of digital creators operating in a non-traditional, high-pressure content environment for one of our clients.

This is a senior, execution-focused role responsible for keeping content moving smoothly from planning through to publishing, ensuring timelines are met, quality is high, and internal teams are aligned.

This is not a traditional agency or corporate Head of Traffic role. It requires discretion, maturity, and comfort operating in a sensitive digital media context. Full operational context will be discussed transparently during the initial screening call.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end content production pipeline for assigned creators
  • Manage content planning, timelines, delivery schedules, and traffic flow
  • Oversee Instagram execution (Reels, Stories, Feed), ensuring content is platform-ready and on time
  • Coordinate editing feedback and reduce rework or production delays
  • Act as the central link between production, editors, and the Instagram team
  • Work closely with Account Executives to align on priorities, timelines, and delivery
  • Flag risks, delays, or quality issues early and escalate where required
  • Track high-level performance trends and share clear insights internally

Supporting platforms: Reddit, X (Twitter), TikTok, Meta Ads (creative support only).

What This Role Is Not

  • Direct creator relationship management
  • Community management, DMs, or messaging
  • Payments, payouts, or financial administration
  • Owning overall growth strategy
  • Making creator-facing decisions without alignment

Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in a traffic, production, content operations, or delivery-focused role
  • Proven experience working in an international environment, partnering with international brands, clients, or creatives
  • Comfortable working primarily with US-based teams, creatives, and media
  • Strong hands-on experience with Instagram execution and content workflows
  • Highly organised, systems-driven, and deadline-focused
  • Calm, professional, and able to operate under pressure
  • Comfortable working in a non-traditional, sensitive digital environment

Hours, Location & Compensation

  • Fully remote
  • US-aligned hours: 15:00–23:00 SAST
  • Salary: Base salary up to R36,000/per month plus performance-based incentives

Reporting & Collaboration

  • Reports into: Head of Marketing / Creative Director / Operations
  • Works closely with Account Executives, Instagram team, and production/editing teams
