EMEA Recruitment has exclusively partnered with an established large-scale international manufacturing company to recruit a Supply Chain Manager for its operation in Porto.
Reporting directly to the Plant General Manager, this is a key leadership role with responsibility for driving supply chain performance across planning, inventory, procurement, warehousing and customer fulfilment.
The position is particularly focused on production planning, demand management and S&OP, so we are looking for someone with strong manufacturing planning expertise rather than a predominantly logistics-focused background.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead production planning, demand forecasting and S&OP activities.
- Align manufacturing capacity with customer demand and business forecasts.
- Optimise inventory levels while maintaining strong customer service.
- Oversee procurement, supplier performance and material availability.
- Support warehousing, distribution and transportation efficiency.
- Monitor key supply chain KPIs and drive performance improvements.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain function.
- Manage, coach and develop the local supply chain team.
- Work closely with manufacturing, commercial and corporate stakeholders.
Your Profile
- Minimum 5 years' supply chain experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong background in planning, forecasting, MRP and S&OP.
- Proven experience leading and developing teams.
- Hands-on leadership style with the ability to operate close to the manufacturing operation.
- Strong ERP/MRP knowledge and analytical capability.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent Portuguese and English.
- Experience within FMCG or another fast-paced production environment would be advantageous.
