Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Technology Leadership: Define and execute a comprehensive, scalable IT and digital strategy that aligns with the club's commercial, fan-engagement, and footballing objectives.
• Modernise Infrastructure: Oversee the evolution of our enterprise architecture, migration to cloud-native solutions, and the implementation of robust cybersecurity frameworks to protect club and fan data.
• Data-Driven Innovation: Architect advanced data analytics platforms to enhance decision-making across commercial operations, stadium management, and digital fan experiences.
• Team Development & Mentorship: Lead, inspire, and grow a diverse team of engineers, developers, and IT professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning, psychological safety, and technical excellence.
• Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Establish strategic partnerships with global technology providers and collaborate closely with executive leadership to deliver high-impact digital initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven Executive Leadership: Extensive experience operating at a CTO, VP of Engineering, or Director of Technology level, successfully leading large-scale digital transformations within complex, high-traffic environments.
• Modern Tech Stack Expertise: Deep technical knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure), modern software architecture, robust API integrations, and enterprise-grade security protocols.
• Product & Platform Scaling: A proven track record of delivering and scaling high-availability digital products, mobile applications, or e-commerce platforms to millions of active users.
• Outstanding Communication: Exceptional ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, strategic narratives for non-technical stakeholders and executive board members.
• Agile Culture Champion: Strong advocate for modern, agile methodologies, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), and nurturing a growth mindset within engineering teams.
