Role Overview
We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer specialized in Solidity and DeFi to spearhead the development of our trustless Bitcoin vault. This invention unlocks a new frontier for native Bitcoin, enabling lending, stablecoin issuance, and derivative-based DEXes on EVM-compatible networks. You will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between Bitcoin and the Ethereum DeFi ecosystem, ensuring our smart contracts are secure, performant, and highly integrated.
Key Responsibilities
- Smart Contract Development: Design, architect, and maintain secure Solidity smart contracts for the core Bitcoin vault protocol.
- DeFi Integration: Lead the technical collaboration with external DeFi projects to integrate the Bitcoin vault with existing lending markets and liquidity protocols.
- Engineering Excellence: Establish development workflows, rigorous testing frameworks, and best practices for smart contract deployment and upgrades.
- Security & Auditing: Coordinate directly with top-tier security firms for audits and utilize advanced tooling (fuzzing, formal verification) to ensure protocol safety.
- Product Strategy: Work closely with the product team to define and ship high-impact features that expand the utility of Bitcoin in DeFi.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional experience in Solidity development with a track record of deploying secure, high-value smart contracts.
- Expert-level understanding of the EVM and existing DeFi primitives (Uniswap, Aave, MakerDAO, etc.).
- Proven ability to lead complex technical projects in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Deep knowledge of Bitcoin's architecture and cross-chain bridging mechanisms.
- Experience with advanced security tools like Echidna, Slither, or Foundry fuzzing.
- Active contributions to prominent open-source DeFi protocols.
