Senior Data Analyst- Data Warehouse

Role Overview

The Data Warehouse Data Analysis team is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst for a contract position. This role is pivotal in performing complex data analysis, profiling, and verification across multiple enterprise platforms, including Teradata (EDW), Cloudera (EDL), and Snowflake (CDL). Reporting to the Senior Manager of Data Analysis, you will bridge the gap between IT and business lines to enable strategic objectives through data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Analysis & Mapping: Lead the analysis of stakeholder needs, defining complex data mappings, and creating ETL integration and transformation rules.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with internal Lumina teams to draft requirement documents and present findings to diverse stakeholders through clear written and verbal communication.
• Quality Assurance: Execute Post-Implementation Verification activities to ensure production deployments align with initial business requirements.
• Documentation & Governance: Maintain the Data Dictionary, produce project bulletins/communiques, and ensure all documentation is centrally stored with appropriate sign-offs.
• Modernization Support: Contribute to Data Warehouse modernization efforts by applying AI concepts and utilizing Git for version control.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Expert-level SQL skills for querying and data profiling.
• Deep knowledge of Data Warehouse environments (DWE, EDW, CSDM, RBDM) specifically on the Teradata platform.
• Proficiency in eliciting business requirements and interpreting Data Flow Diagrams/Data Models.
• Ability to read and understand code to facilitate communication with development teams.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Experience with Data Lake environments (Python, Scala, Hive, Datameer).
• Knowledge of Cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).
• Working knowledge of Host (Mainframe) with TSO.
