FX Trader

Role Overview

We are a leading financial institution seeking a highly motivated and analytical FX Trader to join our dynamic trading desk. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and executing foreign exchange trades, developing trading strategies, and contributing to the overall profitability of the FX trading book. You will work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, leveraging market insights and quantitative analysis to make informed trading decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute spot, forward, and options trades in major and emerging market currency pairs, ensuring best execution and managing risk exposure.
• Develop and implement proprietary trading strategies based on fundamental economic data, technical analysis, and quantitative models.
• Monitor global macroeconomic events, central bank policies, and geopolitical developments to identify trading opportunities and mitigate risks.
• Collaborate with sales teams, strategists, and quantitative analysts to provide market color, pricing, and structured solutions for clients.
• Maintain and enhance trading infrastructure, tools, and models to improve efficiency and trading performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience in a similar FX trading role within a bank, hedge fund, or proprietary trading firm.
• French Speaking (and English)
• Deep understanding of foreign exchange markets, including derivatives (forwards, swaps, options).
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Demonstrable track record of profitable trading (PnL).
• Ability to perform effectively under pressure and make decisive, risk-managed decisions.
