Role Overview

A well funded global leader in quantum computing seeks a highly strategic and results-driven Commercial Director to lead their Western European commercial strategy and drive significant revenue growth. As a key member of the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and executing commercial plans, identifying new market opportunities, and building high-performing sales and business development teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong business background and relationships with public bodies, regional enterprises and quanutm computing vendors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and implement the company's commercial strategy to accelerate growth, increase market share, and achieve ambitious revenue targets.
  • Establish and expand the sales, marketing, and business development functions, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Forge and manage strategic alliances with technology partners, research institutions, and key enterprise clients to create a robust ecosystem and drive co-innovation.
  • Act as a key spokesperson for the company, representing our commercial interests.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven track record of success in a senior commercial leadership role within quantum computing.
  • Demonstrable experience in building and scaling commercial operations from the ground up, including developing go-to-market strategies for nascent technologies.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical C-level audiences.
  • Strong network within relevant enterprise sectors (e.g., finance, pharmaceuticals, aerospace, materials science).
  • Strong relations with public funding bodies and quantum computing vendors.
