Rate: Flexible depending on experience

Length: 9 Months

Are you a visionary Design Systems Designer who thrives at the bleeding edge of UI design and emerging technology?

RMG Digital,is partnering with a forward-thinking company to secure an exceptional Design Systems Designer for a high-impact contract. As AI transforms how software is built and experienced, modern design systems must evolve beyond static component libraries. The immediate focus of this role is to pioneer new interaction patterns for AI-driven interfaces and agent-generated, runtime UIs—stopping engineering fragmentation in its tracks and setting a new visual and structural standard for the future of the platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evolve and scale the design system to seamlessly support complex, AI-driven interaction patterns and dynamic, agent-generated UI.
  • Create intuitive, robust UI patterns, components, and comprehensive guidance that bridge the gap between design and engineering, driving strong adoption across technical teams.
  • Establish clear guardrails and design standards that prevent development teams from inventing ad-hoc UI solutions in unexplored AI territory.
  • Maintain an exceptionally high standard of visual design, ensuring that functional system components are paired with refined, modern aesthetics.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure design tokens, components, and documentation align with front-end implementation reality.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven track record as a Design Systems Designer with deep expertise in crafting, documenting, and scaling enterprise-grade component libraries.
  • Strong visual design background with a portfolio demonstrating high-quality UI thinking, sophisticated aesthetic craft, and innovative pattern design.
  • Demonstrated experience design-thinking around AI interactions, dynamic UI generation, or complex predictive workflows.
  • Ability to bridge design systems and software engineering, creating usable patterns that developers trust and enthusiastically adopt.
  • Mastery of modern design tools (such as Figma) alongside a thorough understanding of front-end development constraints and component architecture.

Nice-to-Have

  • Prior experience embedded within an AI-focused product environment.

Why Apply

This is a rare opportunity to tackle one of the most exciting challenges in modern product design: defining how human users interact with AI-generated software. By shaping interaction patterns for runtime and agentic interfaces, your work will directly influence how engineering teams build and how end-users experience next-generation features.
