Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Technology Leadership: Define and execute a comprehensive global IT and digital strategy that aligns with the club's commercial goals and football operations.
• Infrastructure & Security: Oversee the modernization of our enterprise architecture, ensuring robust cybersecurity frameworks protect fan data, club assets, and matchday operations.
• Data & Analytics Innovation: Drive the development of advanced data platforms to enhance decision-making across both the business departments and sports science units.
• Matchday & Venue Tech: Enhance the digital infrastructure of Anfield and our training facilities, delivering a seamless, high-tech experience for supporters and staff alike.
• Team Empowerment: Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing technology department, fostering a culture of innovation, agility, and continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Experience

• Executive Leadership: Proven experience as a CTO, VP of Technology, or equivalent senior IT leadership role within a large-scale, high-profile organization.
• Digital Transformation Expertise: A strong track record of delivering complex cloud migrations, enterprise system integrations, and customer-facing digital products.
• Strategic Vision: Exceptional ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business strategies for executive board-level stakeholders.
• Vendor & Partner Management: Extensive experience managing high-value vendor relationships and negotiating major technology contracts.
• Crisis Management: Strong resilience and decisive leadership capabilities under pressure, particularly during high-traffic global events or critical system deployments.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience working within the sports, media, entertainment, or live events industries.
• A deep understanding of emerging technologies such as AI-driven analytics, IoT in smart stadiums, and next-generation fan engagement platforms.
• Experience managing globally distributed teams and localized digital platforms across multiple international markets.
