- Control Systems: Practical experience using either Heidenhain controls (highly beneficial for Milling roles) or Fanuc controls (highly beneficial for Turning roles).
- Technical Literacy: Outstanding ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and apply modern machining principles.
- Quality Focus: A meticulous eye for detail with a track record of working to exact tolerances and inspecting your own work.
- Eligibility: Candidates must have the permanent right to work in the United Kingdom, as visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Nice-to-Have Skills & Experience
- CADCAM Programming: Experience with CADCAM programming (specifically HyperMill) is advantageous, but not essential as full training will be provided to help you transition into programming.
- Leadership Ambition: For those eyeing the Team Leader vacancy, prior experience supervising machinists, coordinating shop-floor workflows, and mentoring junior operators is a major plus.
