Role Overview
We are seeking a driven and experienced Transfer Pricing Assistant Manager to join our dynamic tax team in London. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of clients, providing expert advice on all aspects of transfer pricing, and supporting the senior management team with complex projects and business development initiatives. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the preparation and review of transfer pricing documentation (Master File, Local File, CbCR) for a portfolio of multinational clients, ensuring compliance with OECD guidelines and local tax regulations.
- Conduct functional analysis interviews, economic benchmarking studies, and financial modelling to support transfer pricing policies.
- Assist with the design and implementation of transfer pricing strategies, including planning for business restructurings, intellectual property management, and intercompany financing.
- Support senior staff in managing tax authority audits and enquiries, preparing robust defence files and responding to queries.
- Mentor and develop junior team members, providing on-the-job training and reviewing their work to ensure high standards of quality and accuracy.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3-6 years of dedicated transfer pricing experience gained within a professional services firm or a multinational corporation.
- Strong understanding of OECD Transfer Pricing Guidelines and UK tax legislation.
- Proven experience in preparing transfer pricing documentation and conducting economic analyses.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- ATT, CTA, ACA, or equivalent professional qualification (or working towards one).
- Experience with transfer pricing software and databases (e.g., Orbis, RoyaltyStat, TP Catalyst).
- Exposure to wider international tax issues or specific industry sectors.
