Role Overview

We are seeking a results-driven Account Manager to manage and grow relationships within an assigned territory in New Jersey. As the primary point of contact for your clients, you will drive service contract renewals, identify new business opportunities, and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction. This role involves close collaboration with internal service, technical, and support teams to deliver tailored solutions that advance clients’ scientific and operational goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships, serving as the lead point of contact for all account management matters.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue opportunities for account growth and new business, negotiating contracts and closing agreements to maximise profits.
  • Strategic Delivery: Understand client needs and objectives to provide tailored solutions, ensuring timely and successful delivery according to specific requirements.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Prepare regular reports on account status, communicate key metrics to stakeholders, and stay up-to-date with industry trends.
  • Issue Resolution: Resolve client issues and complaints quickly and effectively to maintain high levels of satisfaction.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Mandatory knowledge of LCMS instruments and laboratory workflows.
  • Proven work experience as an Account Manager, Sales Representative, or similar role.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel within New Jersey as needed.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Experience with specific CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Previous experience in a scientific or technical service environment.
  • Advanced degree in a scientific discipline.
