Role Overview

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Associate to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in our supply chain operations, ensuring that goods are received, stored, and dispatched efficiently and accurately. This is a physically active role requiring attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for damage and accuracy against delivery notes.
  • Efficiently pick and pack orders for dispatch, ensuring all items are securely packaged and correctly labelled.
  • Maintain an organised warehouse layout by restocking shelves and ensuring stock rotation (FIFO) principles are followed.
  • Operate warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks, in accordance with safety guidelines.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and assist in maintaining accurate stock records within the management system.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to lift and move heavy items throughout the shift.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills for processing documentation.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Valid forklift truck (FLT) licence (Counterbalance or Reach).
  • Previous experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or handheld scanners.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations (COSHH, Manual Handling).
