Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced AI Engineer for a critical 10-month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions for a key government project. This role requires an individual with a strong background in AI/ML, a proactive problem-solving mindset, and current, active Security Clearance (SC).
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable machine learning pipelines and AI models.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI capabilities into existing systems and applications.
- Conduct research and implement cutting-edge algorithms to solve complex challenges within the project scope.
- Ensure the robustness, performance, and security of all AI/ML solutions in a sensitive environment.
- Document development processes, model architecture, and performance metrics for project stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience as an AI Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer, or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Python and common ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
- Experience with MLOps practices and tools for model deployment and monitoring.
- Crucially, you must hold current and active UK Security Clearance (SC). Candidates without this will not be considered.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience working on public sector or defence-related projects.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure and their AI/ML services.
- Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in Computer Science, AI, or a related field.
