Role Overview
The Senior Application User Acceptance Test (UAT) Specialist plays a critical role within the Operational Risk Shared Services – Strategy & Systems Team. This position acts as a vital bridge between technology and business functions within Group Risk Management (GRM). The successful candidate will ensure that enterprise-level applications are robust, functional, and aligned with the strategic objectives of Operational Risk Management.
Key Responsibilities
- Test Strategy & Execution: Translate complex business requirements into comprehensive test cases and execute manual tests to identify defects and ensure full functional coverage.
- Defect Management: Document findings meticulously, publish results to SharePoint, and communicate bugs to IT and business teams to facilitate swift resolution.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Lead walkthroughs of test scenarios with colleagues and collaborate across Operational Risk Management and IT departments to validate application readiness.
- Data Validation: Utilise advanced SQL skills to identify data inconsistencies, gaps, and compatibility issues, particularly during data migration processes.
- Reporting: Maintain consistent communication with project leads, ensuring all testing activities align with business objectives and compliance standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) or Quality Assurance, ideally in a lead or senior capacity.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL for data analysis and Archer (GRC) software.
- Expertise in Jira, SharePoint, and the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Strong working knowledge of Operational Risk Management concepts and processes.
- Experience working within an Agile delivery framework.
- Proficiency in Python scripting for test enhancement.
