About The Role
We are looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to support Volta's data centre delivery organisation in Europe, the teams responsible for designing, constructing, commissioning and operating our AI factories.
You will partner with delivery leaders across design, procurement, construction, commissioning, project controls, contracts and data centre operations as the organisation scales rapidly across multiple European projects. Working closely with the wider People team, you will help build the structures, processes and ways of working that allow delivery teams to perform at their best.
This is a hands-on role in a fast-growing environment. Because our delivery teams are technical, project-driven and site-based, we are looking for someone who comes from a data centre business and understands the market, the roles and the realities of delivering critical infrastructure at speed.
What You Will Be Doing
Partner with Volta's data centre delivery leaders across Europe as the first point of contact for all people matters Support organisational design, workforce planning and headcount decisions as the delivery organisation scales Guide managers through performance, development, engagement and retention across office and site-based teams Manage employee relations cases with sound judgement across multiple European jurisdictions Support the people side of new project and country launches, including employment setup, policies and local compliance Coach leaders on management capability, team health and ways of working in high-pressure project environments Work closely with the talent team to connect workforce plans, hiring and onboarding into one consistent employee journey Develop people policies and processes that work for a growing, multi-country delivery organisation Use people data and feedback to advise leaders on engagement, retention and organisational health Champion a consistent Volta employee experience across every European market
What You Bring
Proven HR business partnering experience gained within a data centre business, such as hyperscale, colocation, EPC or data centre operations A strong understanding of the data centre market, its roles and how delivery organisations are built and run Experience supporting technical, project-based and site-based teams through rapid growth Working knowledge of European employment practices, with experience supporting teams across multiple countries Confidence advising senior leaders and managing complex employee relations matters Strong organisation, communication and stakeholder management skills A hands-on, pragmatic approach suited to a fast-moving, founder-led environment Flexibility to travel across Europe when required
