Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Embroidery Operations Manager to oversee and optimize our entire embroidery production process. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader, responsible for managing the embroidery team, ensuring production targets are met, maintaining quality standards, and driving operational efficiency. You will be the linchpin of our embroidery department, ensuring seamless workflow from design digitization to final product shipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and develop the embroidery team, including scheduling, training, and performance management to foster a productive and positive work environment.
- Oversee daily production operations, ensuring orders are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Manage inventory of threads, backings, and other supplies, and oversee the maintenance and troubleshooting of all embroidery machinery (e.g., Tajima, Barudan).
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure consistent quality control across all projects.
- Collaborate with design, sales, and customer service teams to ensure technical specifications are met and to resolve any production-related issues.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience in a management or supervisory role within a commercial embroidery or apparel decoration environment.
- In-depth technical knowledge of multi-head embroidery machines (e.g., Tajima, Barudan, ZSK) and their operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to train, motivate, and guide a production team.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
- Proficiency with embroidery-specific software for design viewing and machine operation.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience with embroidery digitization software (e.g., Wilcom, Pulse).
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles or other process improvement methodologies.
- Experience managing budgets and controlling operational costs.
