Role Overview
As a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE), you will sit at the intersection of engineering, product, and customer success. You will work directly with our most strategic clients to solve their most complex technical challenges using our platform. This is not a typical consulting role; you are a high-caliber software engineer who enjoys high-stakes problem solving and rapid deployment in diverse technical environments.
- This role is Hybrid from our Amsterdam office (2-3 times per week working from the office).
- Fixed contract for 1 year (could be extended, depends on performance review)
Key Responsibilities
- Solution Architecture: Design and implement bespoke technical solutions that integrate our core product into the client's existing infrastructure.
- Rapid Prototyping: Build production-ready features and integrations in response to immediate customer needs and feedback loops.
- Technical Partnership: Act as the primary technical point of contact for client stakeholders, translating business requirements into robust code.
- Product Feedback: Work closely with our internal Product and Engineering teams to feed field insights back into the core roadmap.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 5 years experience in a high-growth SaaS or FinTech environment.
- Strong proficiency in at least one backend language (e.g., Python, Go, Java) and modern frontend frameworks.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Willingness to travel to client sites as required (approximately 25%).
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Prior experience in a customer-facing engineering role or technical sales.
- Prior experience in dynamic and fast environment.
- Prior experience building Agentic harnesses (as a product), development systems, and with Devops/Enterprise implementation.
- Experience working with legacy languages such as COBOL/RPG/PL/I.
- Deep understanding of system design, APIs, and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP).
