ABOUT THE ROLE

This role sits within WNTD's embedded RPO team at Volta.

The brief is clear: find the best finance and accounting talent for Volta.

Volta's finance organisation supports a business spanning AI infrastructure, cloud and asset management, and it is growing fast. Your focus is building its accounting, financial reporting and tax teams, covering everything from accounts payable and receivable through to specialist and senior leadership appointments.

You will work directly with the finance leaders who run these teams, understand exactly what each role requires and bring them people with the right experience.

This is a focused search role, based in London with regular time alongside the team in the office. Your job is to map the relevant markets, engage the strongest people and bring them to Volta, supporting hiring across the UK and US.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner directly with finance, accounting, and tax leadership to conduct search calibrations, intake briefings, and ongoing pipeline reporting.
• Execute end-to-end talent searches covering operational accounting, financial reporting, SEC reporting, and senior tax appointments.
• Drive proactive direct sourcing, talent mapping, and outbound headhunting to engage high-calibre passive candidates.
• Manage the full search lifecycle through our ATS, from initial market mapping and technical screening to offer delivery and close.
• Maintain rigorous search data and provide transparent visibility into recruitment pipelines for all priority requisitions.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven track record in specialist finance and accounting recruitment, with deep exposure to areas such as financial reporting, tax, and core accounting functions.
• Prior experience operating within an executive search firm, recruitment agency, or embedded RPO environment.
• Expertise in headhunting and talent mapping, with demonstrable success identifying and converting passive professionals into active hires.
• Experience assessing candidates with Big Four training, public company accounting backgrounds, or complex technical accounting experience.
• Established stakeholder management skills, with the credibility to partner effectively with senior finance leaders and adapt searches based on precise feedback.
• Full-lifecycle recruitment capability, successfully managing multiple high-priority search mandates simultaneously without sacrificing candidate quality.

Nice-to-have

• Direct knowledge of cross-border hiring across both the UK and US markets, including US tax hiring.
• Familiarity sourcing talent within the AI infrastructure, cloud technology, asset management, or data centre industries.
