Key Responsibilities
- Define and Execute Strategy: Design, write, and execute comprehensive test plans and detailed test cases that cover functional, regression, and integration testing for our core product.
- Champion Automation: Build, maintain, and scale robust automated test suites for web applications and APIs, reducing manual overhead and accelerating our release cycles.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with software developers, product managers, and UX designers from the initial design phase to identify edge cases and potential quality bottlenecks early.
- Defect Management: Document, track, and systematically verify software defects using our internal tracking systems, providing clear steps to reproduce for the development team.
- Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in agile ceremonies, advocating for QA best practices and helping to continuously refine our CI/CD pipelines.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven QA Experience: At least 3+ years of professional experience working as a Quality Assurance Engineer in a fast-paced agile software development environment.
- Test Automation Proficiency: Solid experience writing and maintaining automated test scripts using modern frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Strong Coding/Scripting Skills: Practical, hands-on programming experience in at least one major language, preferably JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python.
- API Testing Expertise: Strong familiarity with testing RESTful APIs using tools like Postman, SoapUI, or command-line utilities.
- Excellent Analytical Mindset: A sharp eye for detail with a systematic approach to troubleshooting, debugging, and root-cause analysis.
Nice-to-have
- Experience configuring and maintaining QA pipelines within CI/CD environments (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI).
- Exposure to performance and load testing tools such as JMeter or Locust.
- Familiarity with containerisation technologies, particularly Docker.
