A well-established and growing Shropshire accountancy practice is looking for an Audit Senior to join its friendly and supportive team. This is a great opportunity for an ACA or ACCA qualified, or nearly qualified, audit professional who wants greater responsibility, meaningful client contact and a clear route for career progression.
You will be trusted to take ownership of audit assignments, build strong client relationships and, as your experience develops, take the lead on selected audits.
What you will do
Working closely with experienced Managers and Client Managers, you will:
- Support audits from planning through to completion
- Take responsibility for delivering accurate, high-quality work within deadlines
- Lead selected audit assignments as your experience develops
- Identify and communicate any issues arising during the audit process
- Supervise and support junior team members
- Build positive, professional relationships with clients
- Assist with wider projects, working alongside Directors and Managers
What you will bring
- ACA or ACCA qualified, or nearing qualification
- Experience within an accountancy practice, with a strong audit background
- Confidence dealing directly with clients and taking ownership of audits
- Strong technical skills, commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Good organisation, a proactive approach and the ability to manage competing deadlines
- Confident communication and enjoyment of team working
- A car owner and driver
