Role Overview
We are a leading provider of data center solutions, seeking a visionary and commercially astute Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our technical strategy and innovation. This executive role is pivotal in shaping our product roadmap, driving technical excellence, and supporting our growth through expert pre-sales engagement. The ideal candidate will possess a deep technical understanding of critical data center infrastructure combined with a proven track record in a client-facing, pre-sales capacity.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the company's long-term technology vision and strategy, ensuring our data center offerings remain at the forefront of the industry in terms of performance, efficiency, and reliability.
- Act as the senior technical authority in high-stakes pre-sales engagements, collaborating with the sales team to design and articulate complex, bespoke solutions for enterprise clients.
- Lead and mentor a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and architects, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement in the design, deployment, and operation of critical infrastructure.
- Oversee technology budgets, vendor relationships, and R&D initiatives to drive innovation in areas such as power, cooling, connectivity, and physical security.
- Represent the company as a thought leader at industry events, conferences, and in client presentations, effectively communicating our technical value proposition to a wide range of audiences.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Extensive senior leadership experience (e.g., CTO, VP of Engineering, Head of Infrastructure) within the data center, colocation, or critical infrastructure sector.
- Demonstrable experience in a pre-sales or solutions architecture capacity, with a history of successfully supporting complex, high-value sales cycles.
- In-depth technical expertise across critical data center infrastructure domains, including power distribution (UPS, PDU), cooling systems (CRAC/CRAH), network architecture, and physical security.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with C-level executives, technical teams, and sales professionals.
- Strong commercial acumen and strategic mindset, with the ability to align technology initiatives with overarching business goals and market opportunities.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Professional certifications such as Certified Data Centre Design Professional (CDCDP) or Accredited Tier Designer (ATD).
- Experience with emerging data center technologies, including liquid cooling, sustainable energy solutions, and DCIM software.
- An advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in a relevant engineering or computer science discipline.
