Role Overview

We build and operate large-scale GPU compute infrastructure for AI workloads in partnership with institutional capital providers. As a capital-intensive business scaling rapidly, robust financial governance, cash discipline, and operational excellence are mission-critical. Reporting directly to the CFO, the VP of Accounting will lead the functional area, establishing and scaling the accounting infrastructure needed to support rapid international growth and institutionalisation of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting & Compliance: Own the delivery of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and US GAAP, while establishing robust internal controls and SOX-compliant processes.
  • Technical Accounting Leadership: Provide authoritative guidance on complex matters including revenue recognition (IFRS 15), lease accounting (IFRS 16), and equity/stock-based compensation across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Strategic Financial Operations: Collaborate with capital markets and strategy teams on JV structures, financing arrangements, and cash flow planning to ensure sufficient capitalisation and accurate partner reporting.
  • Global Scaling: Lead the selection and implementation of global ERP systems, automate financial workflows, and manage multi-currency consolidations across international legal entities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent) with a Big 4 background strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a senior leadership role within a high-growth technology or infrastructure business.
  • Deep technical knowledge of IFRS and familiarity with US GAAP.
  • Proven experience managing multi-entity, multi-currency consolidations and leading international teams.

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience in Series A–C start-ups or scaling organisations.
  • Familiarity with the GPU market, data centre operations, or project finance.
  • Exposure to fundraising processes and public company readiness.
