Role Overview

Our client, an iconic venue based in Oxfordshire, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager. This pivotal role is responsible for driving revenue growth across the estate’s residences, award-winning restaurants, and premier meeting spaces. The successful candidate will focus on securing new business within the corporate, group, and leisure segments while maintaining prestigious client relationships and delivering exceptional brand positioning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Revenue Growth: Develop and execute strategic sales plans to maximise occupancy and spend across rooms, F&B, and event spaces, consistently meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
  • Business Development: Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, prospecting, and conducting site tours and client presentations.
  • Relationship Management: Build and nurture long-term partnerships with corporate clients, travel agents, and event planners, conducting regular performance reviews and bespoke proposal development.
  • Contract Negotiation: Manage the full sales cycle from initial inquiry to contract signing, ensuring profitable terms and identifying upselling opportunities.
  • Market Engagement: Represent the venue at trade shows and industry functions, while monitoring competitor trends and managing social media presence (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter) for the department.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 5–6 years of high-volume F&B and hospitality sales experience with a proven track record of target achievement.
  • Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, Property Management Systems (PMS), and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to support site visits and major events (e.g., race weekends).

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Established network within the Oxfordshire or luxury hospitality market.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or Marketing.
  • Specific experience within the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Events) sector.
