As our Chief Technology Officer, you will serve as the strategic architect of our entire technology ecosystem. You will align our digital infrastructure with the club’s ambitious global goals, ensuring that our systems are as world-class as the football played on the pitch. Leading a talented, multi-disciplinary IT and engineering team, you will drive innovation across football operations, commercial platforms, stadium infrastructure, and media output.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Technology Leadership: Define and execute a comprehensive, long-term IT road map that supports Liverpool FC’s commercial growth, sporting excellence, and global brand presence.
• Infrastructure & Security Modernisation: Oversee the security, scalability, and resilience of our enterprise architecture, ensuring robust data protection and compliance across all club operations.
• Data & Analytics Innovation: Lead the development of advanced data platforms to enhance decision-making across both the sporting side (performance analysis) and the business side (fan insights and ticketing).
• Digital Fan Experience: Collaborate with commercial and marketing teams to deliver world-class digital products, mobile apps, and e-commerce platforms for millions of supporters worldwide.
• Team Empowerment: Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing technology department, fostering a culture of collaboration, agility, and continuous learning.

Required Skills & Experience

• Executive Technology Leadership: Proven experience as a CTO, VP of Engineering, or Director of Technology within a high-growth, complex enterprise environment.
• Enterprise Architecture Mastery: Strong background in managing cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure), modern data pipelines, and robust cybersecurity frameworks.
• Strategic Business Alignment: A track record of translating complex technical concepts into commercially viable business strategies for non-technical stakeholders.
• Agile Delivery & Governance: Deep experience implementing modern agile software development practices and managing substantial capital expenditure (CapEx) budgets.
• Inspirational People Management: Exceptional leadership skills with a proven ability to unite diverse technical teams behind a shared, ambitious vision.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience working within the sports, entertainment, or high-volume media industries.
• Hands-on experience with cutting-edge fan engagement technologies, including Web3, AR/VR, or real-time streaming platforms.
