Role Overview
As a Care Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with their daily needs, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life. You will work closely with clients in their homes or within the community, providing both practical assistance and emotional support. Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Support clients with mobility and physical activities, ensuring their safety and comfort
- Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and medication reminders
- Offer companionship and emotional support, fostering a positive and respectful environment
- Help with light household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping
- Maintain accurate records and report any changes in clients’ health or wellbeing
- Work collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and other team members to ensure holistic care
- Uphold the dignity, privacy, and independence of every client
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Genuine passion for helping others and making a difference
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, trustworthy, and compassionate nature
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
- Previous experience in a care or support role is desirable but not essential—full training will be provided
- Relevant certifications (such as NVQ/QCF in Health and Social Care) are an advantage
