Role Overview
We are seeking a diligent and commercially-minded Corporate Lawyer to join our dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will provide expert legal advice and support on a wide range of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and commercial contracts. This role is crucial for ensuring the company's legal compliance and mitigating risks while supporting its strategic growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including NDAs, service agreements, and partnership contracts.
- Advise on corporate governance matters, ensuring compliance with company law and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with corporate transactions, including M&A, joint ventures, and corporate restructuring, from due diligence through to completion.
- Provide pragmatic legal counsel to various business departments on a day-to-day basis.
- Manage and liaise with external counsel as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Qualified lawyer in England & Wales with 3-5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE).
- Proven experience in corporate law, either from a reputable law firm or an in-house legal team.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Excellent commercial acumen and the ability to provide risk-based, practical advice.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience in a specific sector such as technology, finance, or energy.
- In-house legal experience is highly desirable.
