Here are three of the most bizarre (and unforgettable) things candidates have said to Lisa during their AI interviews.

1. “I’d hire me because I’m the whole package, brains, charm, and great at karaoke.”

Confidence is great. But when a candidate tried to pitch themselves as the “entertainment solution” to team socials during a finance role interview, even Lisa had to pause. That said, we hope someone out there appreciated their cover of Bohemian Rhapsody.

2. “Can you tell the hiring manager I read their aura and it’s very strong?”

One candidate took a more spiritual approach, claiming to sense "powerful healing energy" from the company via the screen. It wasn’t quite the professional insight we were looking for, but it was definitely memorable.

3. “I’m just here to test if this AI actually works.”

This one was short, direct, and a bit awkward. The candidate admitted they weren’t interested in the job at all, just curious about the AI interview. Lisa remained polite, assessed the answers anyway, and flagged the lack of role relevance. Spoiler: curiosity didn’t get them hired.
